Help Center structure and navigation
The DrFirst Help Center organizes content to match how you work, so you can find what you need quickly.
The Help Center organizes content into categories, then by product family:
- Get Started: Step-by-step walkthroughs for new users and features
- User Guides: Task or workflow specific instructions (for example, "How to Order Hard Tokens")
- Videos: Visual examples of DrFirst services
- Support Hub: Technical requirements, security protocols, and Help Center navigation
- Release Notes: Updates on new releases for DrFirst services
Within each category, articles are organized in a nested structure:
- Categories (broad topics, like "Get Started" or "Videos")
- Sections (service-specific groupings)
- Folders (sub-groupings, only where needed)
- Individual articles (specific topics)
This structure lets you explore a topic step by step, or jump straight to the article you need.
The article path, also known as breadcrumbs, appears at the top of each article. Example: "DrFirst > Support Hub > Help Center Guide."
Breadcrumbs:
- Show where you are in the Help Center structure
- Let you jump to broader topic sections
- Give you context for the article
If an article doesn't fully answer your question, click a breadcrumb to view all articles in that section.
Browsing works well when you're exploring a new area or don't know the exact terminology.
- Go to the Help Center homepage (help.drfirst.com)
-
Choose a format (User Guides, Videos, etc.)
Help Center Videos category - Select the section for your product or service (for example, "EPCS" or "E-Prescribing Desktop")
- Select the article that best matches your question
Browsing works best when you're learning a new product, exploring what's possible with a tool, or when your search returns too many unrelated results.
Search the Help Center
Help.drfirst.com uses search in two modes.
Use specific terms. Search "EPCS authentication failed" instead of "prescribing errors."
Use product terminology. Search "two-factor authentication" instead of "security code," or "COV process" instead of "changing vendors."
Start broad, then narrow. Begin with 1–2 keywords, then add terms if results are too general: "prescribing" → "prescribing controlled substances" → "prescribing controlled substances iPad."
Common abbreviations: EPCS, COA (Credential Office Administrator), OTP (One-Time PIN), IDP (Identity Proofing), COV (Change of Vendor)
Avoid vague terms like "not working" or "error" — they return too many results. Use specific terms instead, like "InfinID authentication timeout."
Avoid full sentences like "How do I set up EPCS for a new prescriber?" Use keywords instead, like "EPCS setup new prescriber."
If your first search doesn't work, try synonyms or related terms — for example, "two-factor authentication," "2FA," and "security code."
