iPrescribe: Submit a request to add a drug

This article lists the information needed if users are unable to locate a drug in iPrescribe and are requesting that a drug be added to the drug database.  

Note: The drug database is updated frequently; if a drug is no longer manufactured, it will not appear as an option in iPrescribe but may be available as a generic and will need to be searched by the generic name (e.g., Tylenol 3, Norco).

I would like to prescribe a new drug but it is not searchable.

Submit a request and include the following details:

  • Drug name
  • Drug strength
  • Drug form (e.g., tablet)
  • Manufacturer
  • NDC

The DrFirst Support Team will verify the information and submit for an update to the drug database when appropriate.
