This article explains how an Admin may add or edit prescription Favorites for their Practice, Location, and My Favorites. To select a favorite when e-prescribing, please see How to Select Prescription Favorites When E-prescribing.
Rcopia 4 has three (3) types of favorites
• Practice Favorites: Administrator-controlled list for every user and location in the practice
• Location Favorites: Administrator-controlled list for everyone at an office location
• My Favorites: User-controlled list of favorites that can be built and edited by individual users
- From the top-left of the Patient Info page, click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) and select Utilities (screenshot A). Then, select Favorites (screenshot B).

Practice Favorites are accessible by all users in the practice.

- Type in the medication and search.
- If there is no result for the medication you would like as a favorite, select Add Favorite.
- type the medication in the Favorite prescription box
- Select the strength you would like to favorite.

- Complete the sig (dose) for the favorite, and select Save.
- If the Favorite is incomplete, users must complete the sig or the script will not transmit.

- The saved notification will appear briefly at the top of the Manage Favorites page.

Location Favorites are accessible by all users at the designated location(s).

- Type in the medication and search.
- If there is no result for the medication you would like as a favorite, select Add Favorite.

The Location Favorites tab also contains a copy option.
- Select Copy List From to select a favorites list from another practice location, then select Merge or Replace. Click Apply to merge or replace the favorites from the selected location into the Location To View (top left).

My Favorites are accessible for the logged in user at all of their locations.

How to Duplicate, Edit, or Delete a Favorite
The icons in the Actions column allow you to Duplicate, Edit, or Delete a Favorite.

- Duplicate: Used to quickly duplicate the same medication favorite. This opens up the Sig window and dosage may be selected for the new favorite.
- Edit: Used to edit the medication favorite. This opens the Sig window for editing.
- Delete: Used to delete the medication favorite.
