iPrescribe: How to Finalize the EPCS Upgrade After Receiving the Mailer

This following steps finalize the iPrescribe EPCS upgrade for users who have already completed the ID.me verification process.  If you receive your hard token in the mail before finalizing the upgrade, please retain it in a safe place.  You may register the token after completing the ID.me verification process.

Step 5a.  If you select the Enter 7-digit code option, locate the 7-digit code on your mailer under the QR code and enter it into the app.  Follow through the steps provided in the app to complete the EPCS enablement.

Step 5b.  If you select the Scan QR Code option, allow the app to access the camera and focus your phone on the QR code (QR code is located at the top right hand corner of your mailer).  Follow through the steps provided in the app to complete the EPCS enablement.

  • The hard token and the mailer with the QR code are mailed separately.  Once the mailer is received and EPCS upgrade completed, you may then register the token for prescribing.
