November 1, 2021: Sunset Date for backline.akariobl.com
DrFirst unveiled the new Backline website, backline-health.com, as part of the Telehealth release in the Spring of 2020. Over the past year, Backline has continued to support the “older” backline.akariobl.com website while ensuring quality and parity on the new website.
With the older website’s technology becoming more outdated, DrFirst has identified November 1, 2021, as the end-of-life date for backline.akariobl.com.
As a result, starting on November 1, 2021, users who access Backline Web through the backline.akariobl.com URL will be automatically redirected to backline-health.com.
But don’t wait until November 1st! Visit backline-health.com today to start benefitting from the site’s modernized user interface and additional features that are not available on backline.akariobl.com. Features unique to backline-health.com include:
- Telehealth
- Integrated Ticketing Functionality
- Patient Med List Queries

Microsoft Discontinuing Support of IE11
The sunsetting of backline.akariobl.com also coincides with Microsoft’s timeframe for discontinuing support for IE11 web browsers. The new website backline-health.com does not support IE11. As a result, please start to plan your strategy to migrate users logging into Backline Web using IE11 to a supported browser, such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari.
