Note: Merging patient records is not reversible. You must keep the patient profile that has the active medications/diagnoses. The patient you are merging is the profile that you will no longer see.
There are 2 ways to access the screen to merge patient records (duplicate aliases):
- Method 1: Menu > Utilities > Merge Duplicate Patients
- Method 2: Patient Search > Type in the patient's name > Select one of the duplicate names > Select Patient Merge button
Method 1
1. Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) at the top-left corner of your page, then click Utilities.

2. Click Merge Duplicate Patients.

3. Skip to step 4.
Method 2
1. Go to PatientSearch
2. Enter name of patient to confirm if the patient has duplicate records. Select one of the duplicate records for the patient.

3. Click Patient Merge.

4. You should see the Merge Duplicate Patients window (shown below).
5. In the search bar of the bottom of Merge Duplicate Patients screen, enter name of duplicate patient name you found.
6. Select Keep or Merge.
7. Click the Merge Records button.

8. Acknowledge warning message by selecting OK.
