As an administrator with access to Partner Portal, you can reset the login password of Rcopia users to a temporary password of your choice (either individually or in bulk).
Users may then log in to either Rcopia or iPrescribe app with these credentials.
Effective September 10, 2024, Rcopia's release (version 4.40.0.0) requires Rcopia users to use an updated browser in accordance with DrFirst Browser Policy to successfully complete single sign-on (SSO) into Rcopia.
If users are still unable to use Rcopia SSO, use the process below to provide users with access to Rcopia or iPrescribe mobile app.
If a user(s) is unable to log in to Rcopia with their existing login password:
1. Log in to Partner Portal.
2. Select Update Practice Information.
3. Locate the practice that the user is part of by using search fields (e.g., username, practice name).
4. Click on the practice name.
5. Select User Summary on the Practice Management screen.
6. To select the user(s) to whom you want to provide a new password, select each checkbox to the left of each user's name. Then click on Reset Password.
Note: Do not use the Status checkbox at the top to select all users on a page.
Recommended: Select the checkbox for each user individually, even if you want to select multiple users to bulk update their password. If you click on the checkbox to the left of Status to select all checkboxes at once you might accidentally select some vendor accounts.
If you accidentally reset the password for any vendor account this may disrupt the SSO integration for all users at the practice and all subsequent practice locations. If this does happen, you may need to work within your organization to reset the integration by matching the vendor password to your organization's SSO URL.

7. Enter a New Password for an individual user and click Change. This will be the user's temporary password.

Note: You will need to do this line by line for each user; the password gets updated only for the row where you clicked on Change. Clicking Change on one row does not update a password on multiple rows at once.
Recommended:
- Use the same temporary password for multiple users.
- If you create unique passwords or use the Generate Random Password button, you will need to record each new password as you go because once you click Change, the line item (with the password) will disappear.
8. As you click on Change for each user, you will see that the user's line disappears from the page, indicating their password has been updated successfully.

Once you are done changing the password for all your users, you will automatically be back at the User Summary page.
Recommended steps for providing multiple users with their new password
If you have to provide multiple users with the temporary passwords you created (bulk updates), we recommend that you run a User Summary report for all Active Users next (from the User Summary screen).
9. Set the Rcopia Status to Active, using the drop-down menu.
10. Select User Summary from the drop-down menu next to the Run Report button and click Run Report.
11. Copy the report content (from top left to bottom right) and paste it into Sheet 1 of a new Excel sheet (optional).
Recommended column headers for Sheet 1:
- Name
- Username
- Password
12. On Sheet 2 paste in the report contents. From sheet 2, you will want to copy the following data into Sheet 1:
- Usernames
- Names
Excel Tips:
- Clear temporary formatting
- Ctrl + shift + down arrow = shortcut that allows you to select column data below a cell
- Do not copy over the headers
- Delete extraneous columns
13. Enter the temporary password you created for each user.
14. Provide the temporary password(s) to your user(s) based on your organization's standard operating procedures (SOPs).
15. You may then instruct your end users to either:
- Enter the temporary credentials into the direct link for Rcopia. The end user will then be able to change their temporary password.
- Download iPrescribe app from the app store and enter the username and password you provided to Log In. The end user will then be prompted to change temporary password to a different password in iPrescribe.
Note: DEA regulations require that you use a different device to generate your one-time passcode (OTP) for two-factor authentication than the one you use to e-prescribe.
