iPrescribe: Providers invited to group practice

A prescriber at your practice may invite you to join their practice’s account on the iPrescribe app.

Providers 
  1. If you are invited to join the practice’s account on iPrescribe, you will receive an email from the iPrescribe Team.
  2. Go to either of the links in the email.
  3. Enter your NPI number and click Next.
  4. Create your iPrescribe account. 
  5. Enter your email address
  6. Create a unique password that meets requirements:
    • 8-16 characters
    • 1 uppercase letter
    • 1 lowercase letter
    • 1 number
  7. Record your iPrescribe username. On this screen, you may click the paper icon next to your username to copy it onto your clipboard.
  8. Enter your provider role and specialty at the practice. Select Save.
  9. Next, the app will take you through identity proofing in ID.me when you select Launch ID.me. Reenter your email and password for iPrescribe and accept the Terms of Service to continue to identity proofing.

  10. If you successfully get through identity proofing, you will see a success message.
  11. To begin prescribing, launch the app again and log in with the username and password you created for iPrescribe. 
Clinical staff, non-clinical staff, or a provider agent 
  1. If you are invited to join the practice’s account on iPrescribe, you will receive an email from the iPrescribe Team.
  2. Go to either of the links in the email.
  3. Create your iPrescribe account.
    • Enter your email address
    • Create a unique password that meets requirements:
      • 8-16 characters
      • 1 uppercase letter
      • 1 lowercase letter
      • 1 number
  4. Record your iPrescribe username. On this screen, you may click the paper icon next to your username to copy it onto your clipboard.
  5. You will see a success message.
  6. To begin using iPrescribe, launch the app again and log in with the username and password you created for iPrescribe. 

Depending on the role that you were assigned to in the app, you will have different capabilities within iPrescribe:

    • Non-clinical – Add, search, view, and modify patients. View medications, allergies, and diagnoses.
    • Clinical – Add, search, view, and modify patients. Modify medications, allergies, and diagnoses. Create pending prescriptions for prescribers.
    • Provider Agent – Same as clinical staff until the provider who invited you has enabled you as a Provider Agent in the iPrescribe app. Once that happens, you will be able to add, search, view, and modify patients; modify medications, allergies, and diagnoses; create pending prescriptions for prescribers; send non-controlled substances prescriptions on behalf of the prescriber.
