This article discusses how you can set up a chat with your patient on Backline.
Start on the Backline sign-in screen and log in with your Email and Password.
Step 1: Select the Chats tab, then click the add icon 
on the bottom-left corner of the page.

Step 2: Click Chat with Patient at the top-right corner of the window that appears.

Step 3: Enter the patient's First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, a valid email or phone number, and your First message to patient. The rest of the fields are optional. Click Start Chat when you are ready.
