iPrescribe: Create My Account

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to create your iPrescribe account. Make sure you have all of the necessary prerequisites before creating your account.


If you have received an email with an EPCSGold registration link, your account has already been created. You will need to access your registration invitation and verify your identity through Experian.

Download and open the iPrescribe app, then follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Create my iPrescribe account

  • Tap Get Started.

  • Enter your NPI Number in the appropriate field, then tap Continue

  • You will be redirected to the iPrescribe Welcome page. Tap Continue.

Step 2: Create Username and Password

  • (A) Create and enter your Username
  • (B) Create and enter your Password
  • (C) In the Confirm Password field, retype your password.
  • (D) Press the Create account button at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Review my account information

  • Review and modify (if needed) your information, then press Save Personal Info.

Use the legal name listed on your NPI number, and do not use an alias, nickname, or company name.

If the First Name and Last Name fields are blank, close iPrescribe and check the NPI registry to ensure all information is correct, then reopen iPrescribe.

Additional possible scenarios that might cause the  First Name and Last Name fields to be blank:

  • Connectivity issues
  • If you have updated your NPI, it may take a few days to update our system. Please submit your NPI changes by Sunday of the current week. If you do not do so, it might not make it into our system. 

Step 4: Review my practice information

  • Review and modify (if needed) your practice information.
  • Tap the Save Personal Info button at the bottom of the page once you have reviewed and confirmed your information.

iPrescribe does not accept PO Boxes as addresses.

Step 5: Verify your identity

You will be redirected to a page that will prompt you to verify your identity by creating an ID.me account.

Your ID.me account is separate from your iPrescribe account. We have partnered with ID.me to perform identity proofing (verifying your identity) for iPrescribe.

Identity proofing is required to use iPrescribe; this ensures security for you and your patients. This process can be done in a short time, right from your phone.
